Meet the team behind 111 West Outfitters — three serious hunters with over a decade of experience putting clients on birds across the US and Canada.
111 West Outfitters was founded in 2021 by Alex Nouri — not as a business plan, but as a way to share something special with the people he cared about most. What started as bringing good friends and family out to experience the Montana high plains quickly grew into something bigger.
As word spread and demand grew, the vision expanded. The partnership that became 111 West Outfitters was built on one simple idea: give serious hunters the experience they've been looking for — and make every detail count.
Today, 111 West operates on thousands of acres of private leased land in southeast Montana. We've built deep relationships with local farmers and landowners who trust us because we treat their land with the same respect we bring to everything we do. That access is what sets us apart — and it's something no one else in the area can replicate.
Whether you've been hunting your whole life or you're finally taking that trip you've been dreaming about, we'll make sure it's worth every mile.
There's a culture out here that runs deep — respect for the land, respect for the animal, and respect for the people around you. We carry that into every hunt we guide.
We believe in the long game. Conservation isn't a buzzword for us — it's built into how we hunt, how we manage pressure, and how we maintain relationships with the land we're privileged to access.
From the first call to the last day in the field, we operate with the highest standards. Your time is valuable — we make sure every minute of it counts.
Every guide at 111 West has put in the years. We're not here to check boxes — we're here because this is what we love to do.
Alex Nouri
Alex is the reason 111 West Outfitters exists. He started bringing friends and family out to the Montana high plains simply because he wanted to share what he'd found — some of the best waterfowl hunting in North America, hiding in plain sight.
As the founding vision behind the outfitter, Alex brings an intimate knowledge of the land and a genuine passion for making every group feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Jake Curtis
Jake grew up in northeast Ohio and picked up a shotgun at age 7 — and hasn't put it down since. He started at the bottom of the guiding industry in college, learning from some of the best in the business, and worked his way up through years of hands-on experience across Kansas, Nebraska, Montana, and Saskatchewan.
Today Jake guides because he can't imagine doing anything else. Sharing the blind with clients who are experiencing Montana for the first time — watching it click — that's what gets him up before sunrise every single day.
Anthony Burnett
Anthony brings deep field experience and a calm presence in the blind that clients immediately appreciate. Whether it's calling birds, setting decoys, or reading the wind on a tough morning — Anthony's the kind of guide you want next to you when conditions get challenging.
